BEEN THERE
This movie is really something different, partly because the main character, Juno some 16 year old teenager who is so not your stereotype teenage girl. Well, the storyline might not be twisted or unpredictable, but its a complete, yet tame storyline. As you can see from the movie poster, the movie is themed teenage pregnancy which leads to adoption. The story starts with a chair and not wanting to spoil the story, ends with a chair. Juno is one sarcastic and funny girl, well the humour isn't that direct but its not hard to get either. To me she's like the more messed up and grown up version of Lil Lulu (kinda). Through this movie, you get to see American high school life that most of us will never experience and how a girl gets pregnant. No idea why they didn't use any protection or the condom got torn in the process, but I think the latter is untrue because there was no whining/rant of that incident throughout the movie. Well, thats how teenage high school life is portraited in the movies, but you can never be sure if its true unless you've been there or you ask someone who is or had... After I finished it, the movie brings like a mellow feeling, like your in a helium balloon, floating and you won't notice if the line snapped and you end up blown away by the wind. The soundtracks are very interesting, they represent a more youthful type of song writing and melody, sweet and a little bit of country acoustic guitar songs. With that story of a teenage girl, smart and funny dialogues with sweet subtle music to add, definitely something thats worth your time. How did I get to watch it you might ask? Well, its not much of a mystery...XD

AI TOP 6

Competition supposed to get tough this week cos Kristy is out (finally...), one can only survive the axe for so long, P . This week is Broadway Bonanza...=='' musicals and musicals, could say this was one of my least favourite episodes of all time... They had some British guy who wrote for many famous theatrical plays like Cats and Phantom of The Opera. Syesha opened the show, she did quite well because she was an actress before this, the judges say that she is Broadway material, I quite agree... She could be safe, considered the fact that she was in the bottom three last week.

Jason Castro was up next, he sang ''Memory'' which is supposed to be like the girly girly big big ballad. The mentor said he was ''brave'' but being brave is nothing if you got a toothpick for a voice, but I think his main problem is that attitude/style. He's just out of his element and he failed to convert it into his own. Big trouble for the Dreads.

Brooke sang after Jason, she stopped and started all over! On live television! OMG... but it isn't the first time, haha. Haihz, the performance was weak, like Jason kinda weak, but the effort was obvious because she challenged her own voice range this week, could say that I never heard her sing such high notes before. Trouble for her too...

David Archuleta was next, my impression was this should be his kind of style cos this fits his image perfectly. To me, he did well, but too constant wellness tends to raise the par and soon he'll sound ''under-par''.

Carly did well tonight! When she did her song, I was like, ''Finally...something to bring me out of the land of the serious dead'' =='' . Viewing the performance, I have come to the conclusion that ''yeah, this chick can rock...''. After Simon said it was one of his favourites of the night, Carly was so happy that she took a shirt from Ricky from the band which says ''Simon loves me (this week) '' Wow, she takes Simon a lil TOO seriously...

David Cook wraps the show, with a performance that started out as deep, low singing and ended with high pitch notes that ''ooo-ed'' and ''ahh-ed'' the judges. Randy said he could sing anything, like the other David, no need to mind what Paula said, XD, Simon said the previous performances but he did the most of what he could out of the song.Yeah, he could win! haha...

So happy...so happy its here again...every week...

I just Love this anime, can really learn a lot from it, from the mythical beings of Japan to the great and amazing philosophy of life interpreted by xxxHOLiC. If I had kids, I would definitely recommend this anime. Well, to me, this is my ''Chicken Soup For The Soul'', only darker yet it can shine a different light into one's perspective on life if you can understand xxxHOLiC, makes you say ''ooo'' and ''ahh'' when teaching you ''lessons'' more directly compared to other animez. The story is good too other than the songs, the new opening song i believe was done by the same artist who sang the first season's opening, will look it up on youtube, haha. Again with the 26 episodes...just wish that Tsubasa Chronicle will come up with a season 3 soon... CLAMP rulez...lol...

AMERICAN IDOL TOP 7

This week is Mariah Carey week, been listening to her since like forever, lol, childhood, teenage and now, my forever, hehe. She's actually a good mentor because unlike the other mentors on AI, she actually gives advice, and not just saying things like ''that was good'' and ''great'' while smiling. Salute to the superstar, lol.

Quick rundowns, show started with Ryan saying some leftover shock from Michael's departure last week, performance started with David Archuleta, again with the song choice themed ''motivation'', it gets boring after a while, for me, would like very much for him to sing something more personal/ eye-opening. No matter how good they say he is, he still can't make me go ''wow'' P . Second up was Carly Smithson, Mariah really liked her... Carly, again with the emotional roller coaster she gave me, dunno why, her singing? Her song choice of the heavily ballad? Syesha...she really gave it a go with those ''almost amazing'' high high notes @@, never heard of the song though... Brooke was up next, the whole world knows now that she missed her sister wedding to coach with Mariah Carey (rolls eyes), she sang ''Hero'' , love that song, not so much about the performance because it was pretty obvious that she was shaking/trembling =( , its good in a way because she did not hide what she felt? Not sure about that though... Kristy Lee Cook, hmm...din like it, only the last few seconds of the song. Next was David Cook! He did something totally different with a really pop Pop song, which was one of the songs by Mariah that I could recall easily from my childhood, ''Always Be My Baby'' He's good... lol. So happy I said his name in my JPA interview, LOL. Jason Castro ended the show, with a sii-beh soothing, calming performance. He's good too, but its very hard to get a ''wow'' factor from him.

Simon said the guys won the night, no surprise there...

>.> Bleach dl so slow...T.T

IN LOVE

with song la...lol, XD . P After watching Enchanted, this song caught my soul, if I had one... I thought about putting this song running on my blog but then I thought how a nuisance it would become as I have seen it on other blogs (no offence, hehe). Its called ''So Close'' by Jon McLaughlin. May I add that this song was nominated best original song in the Academy Awards, the song was also performed on stage during the 80th Academy Awards with the recreation of the King's and Queen's Ball scene from the movie, P . Just like how the song goes, the lyrics, the music, everything... and there's a ''Disney-touch'' to the song. Yeas I'm promoting this song, lol.

Goodbye Michael (finally spelled it right)

Sad...so so very sad...why does the journalists/ reporters on Mtv have to be right... saying that it's time to have a shocking elimination... haihz...I'm so sad...why him, why now... To me, the show has lost 30% of its appeal to me...sad sad...so sad...to think I finally spelled his name right... haihz... Gonna miss him...miss that voice, that bang bang voice...haihz... sad...sad... T.T. Ngaitih...I honestly said no three times to my monitor during that part... =( . I've seen him in the auditions...in Hollywood week, Top 24...Top 12...now this...sad...sad... he made Danny Noreiga's elimination feel like nothing... Worth a tribute, this guy, so this is my tribute to him,

Something I have never done, screenshots, personally picked and cut. Ladies and gentlemen, Michael Johns. My rose to you, wish you well, bye.

Man, I so damn think the show is rigged right now! Cos if this week a guy goes, then a girl goes the next week, it has been that way every since the Top 12!! Haihz, what the heck are they thinking...
Special Performances-Idol Gives Back

They did it last year, back again...different style this year though, added a video because I think its cool.

Terri Hatcher sang it, the song by Carrie Underwood, You must know her(Carrie)...== >.> you might remember Terri from ''Desperate Housewives'', she was also the Lois Lane on ''The New Adventures Of Superman'', which was one of my childhood favourites... You can also see Matt Parkman from ''Heroes'' on the drums!! eeeek!! Dere's also that handsome guy from ''Desperate Housewives'' on the guitar, dunno the name because I don follow, cos I don hav 8tv and I find it not worth downloading, P . There's also the aussie hunk/only piece of meat in ''House'' that most girls talk about, is on the violin, wow, din know a guy like him knows how to play! P Well, they ARE called ''Band From TV'' . Other than that, Miley Cyrus was on the show too, I don get it/her fever due to the lack of Disney Channel, lol, I guess she's famous,XDXD but so young, so famous, we've seen it happen, Britney Spears,... Lindsay Lohan... poison spreads fast, its only a matter of time, P . The top 8 opened the show with dancers from ''So You Think You Can Dance'' with the song Please Don't Stop The Music by Rihanna which was a real eyebrow-lifting performance, and you can't forget the performance by Fergie! It was pretty amazing! You can also see a lot of iconic people which I know/ don't know on the show, I thought about taking screenshots but I don like posts to be too long...so.... In a coconut shell, you'll find coconut juice and santan... P , In a nutshell, its all for a very good cause and all so very entertaining, if I was in the US, I would definitely call, cross my heart.

* If u want it, just let me know, I have it. *wink*

Wednesdays...

Tsk tsk...so fast came another Wednesday. AI updates, Top 8, inspirational week, contestants pick songs that are inspirational to them, haihz, to me this week no bang bang boom, =( . First was Micheal Johns , singing a song by Aerosmith, I only got related to the song when he got to the chorus part which Eminem took for a song. I raised an eyebrow cos he did some falsetto screaming thing that totally does not sound like him. He did okay... Next was Syesha Mercado, did I Believe by Fantasia, the winner of season 3 (rite?), did good... P, liked the songs, but I agree with the judges, not much emotion.... 3rd up, Jason Castro, this guy, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Hawaiian lil guitar, judges LOVED it, I think he sang it just like how he sang previously in the competition, just that his voice matched the song, no improvement. Kristy Lee, I think she sounded good, but not overwhelming, judges gave all positive comments, but I would still prefer someone else. Seriously like that top, XD . NExt, David Cook, loved the song he picked-Innocent, not the performance, guess he's saving it up, hehe...guess being great every week is boring? After that was Carly Smithson, yet another song I'm familiar with, hehe, I like how when she sings, it makes me feel as tensed and serious as the song, guess thats her talent , lol. Then again, no bang bang performance there... David Archuleta * insert girly scream* , sang the great song-Angels, another great performance, but only the latter half, playing the piano distracts him obviously... Lol, i saw this fan flashing a sign saying:'' lick those lips!'' =='' Last, Brooke White closes the show, plain boring this week, =( hope she's safe, she was in the bottom 3 last week, sad to see her go...
Saw smtg reli funny so decided to post this up.

I did not make this, I took it from http://ridiculousbanana-hallofshame.blogspot.com/

*Heads up, Yayasan TM scholarship bengkel permilihan shorlist is out 2day at 4pm.

A DAY WITH THE MYVI

Well, its just half a day...but I got to drive it myself 2day, haha, can say that its the 1st time for that to happen... went to get the car repaired at the service centre which is quite close to home. So many cars here, I guess Perodua cars have alot of trouble... P, and most of em cars here have P stickers, including mine, but its not my fault the car is here, P. This place is actually not bad...fully air-conditioned, and you can online for free which watching the maintenence crew do your car through the glass panels, what a way to kill 5 hours of time, ==''
The only problem is that the online service is valid for half an hour per coupon...well, I have not tried to get 8 coupons in one go, but I'm definately going to try....

no, thats not mine...

$@#$#@% Estimated time the car is ready is 1pm, actual time the car is ready 2:45pm, are they shitting me?!? ==...at least I got to stay in on a hot hot sunny day...

PIKOM-people mountain people sea

Well...its alot bigger then last year, there's Hall A and Hall B, mostly deals on laptops, pendrives, external hdd, boom boom speakers and FM modulators, something new this year I think it would be the notebook stickers, ranging from rm15-rm30, they really really look very nice... out of the blue, there's also a HSBC stall...=='' Me, I bought a 4gig pendrive, while laughing at those who spent more then rm50 to buy a 1gig one years ago, XD . FYI, a 1gig pendrive costs rm17 nowadays. I also saw a cooling pad for rm9, dunno whether its working or not, but it IS made from plastic, so I think that also counts negatively... Toshiba had alot alot of stalls this year, at least 5, all showcasing their laptops, tsk tsk tsk... I didn't want it because the HDD is 120gig x 2 to get 240gig.

Yeas, the biggest reason for this year's trip is to survey on laptops lo... P
Yeas I found it, yeas it costs alot, no I'm not gonna buy it, well, not until I get a scholarship... The Dell XPS M1530... wa~...just dunno how is the speakers quality, but I can always use headphones... P

Wednesday, April 02, 2008

Haha... 3 posts in 1 day, is there a record for that? XD Yeas, I'm an AI fan, I watch it every week, cos I love good music, heck thats why the show got so popular in the first place! . Its country week this week, though I'm not such a fan of country music, some indeed blew me away~~...Quick runs, Brooke White did just okay, no blowing from her. David Cook did below okay for me this week, but Simon was right, making a bad song sound okay means he's good, lol. Ramielle...not so good performance, sweet and cute, but still waiting for that big voice to show in a big big ballady song. Jason Castro, his voice is getting pretty boring, though its different type of singing, more natural, here I discovered that Brooke and Jason sound similiar...David Archuleta...ex boy wonder, pitch problems, still sound great, but I waiting for him to do modern songs just to remind that he is younger than me. Kristy Lee Cook, best lookin one out there! Its her week, cos she sounds smtg like Reba, did okay. Carly Smithson, sounded pretty great but its true, she has fashion issues...Syesha Mercado, ngaitih...she did the Whitney song!! THE song or more specifically the line which is the 经典的经典, she really made my favourite Idol moment this week , when she did that high pitch "AND I~~~~WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU~~~ '' and along with the camera action which zoomed out while she was doing that line, waseh...though it was not as good as the original, but she actually dared to do that song! I can't believe some1 did that song!! Cos the judges labeled Whitney/Celine Doin songs as Untouchables...@@ Lastly Micheal Johns, just love that voice...it goes bang bang when he sings with that style, another great performance. Hehe, much shorter then last week's . P
April's Unfooled

Huh...back from the interviews...Din get lost, din mess up, well...kinda..=='' . Pustaka had just the right temperature for formal wear, while sitting around, the nerves apparently starts to go away, hehe, met new people, saw old recognisables, pretty much did nothing until they started to call names and checked the certificates and straight we went to the interview room, Panel 1 to be exact, which one did u get? Hmm...the introduction part was done in English, which then means that the group discussion was done in BM, little did I know... :( NO.1 did okay I guess, Malay from Klang, NO.2 did poorly to my account, bad English or was she just nervous, hmm...and as soon as the panel said the housewife not working, just sit at home a? Then i realised, oh yeah...i heard this from recom! So its him....hmm...then it was NO.3's turn, again with some juju from the panel...bully Siao Fen nia... NO.4, engineering because he was good in Physics and Mathematics...hey...that was what I was going to say, but then he got some juju from the panel for saying that, but i did'nt... at this time I could really hear my heart pounding, then it was NO.5's turn, he started to introduce his name, and then his skool and then his interests, listening to music...then the panel asked if NO.5 was a fan of Akademi Fantasia, ofcos no...then NO.5 said yes to American Idol, hmm is that a trick question? Then the name David Cook came out when asked the favourite, I believe that none knew who the heck is this guy but even so, I'm not sure if NO.8 knows David Cook...NO.8!! U noe hu onot??
Then NO.5 says he also plays badminton and basketball, hmm...does that sound too desperate?
When talking about the family, NO.5 didn't have the chance to talk about mom and went straight to the siblings...*scratch head..why is dat...== And then some questions on Engineering...I think NO.5 did ok la..for this part, but first panel asked what is the actual job of an engineer, engineer got so many types, NO.5 said then NO.5 was asked what type of engineering is he choosing, isn't that off topic? Even the panel does it... and so NO.6 got her turn...did well, respect her, but from Lodge...*leer* ...NO.7 the malay girl...lousy result take medicine...Malay wor...ngaitih...only they dare lor...but she showed weakness in her...NO.8...this guy ar..tsk tsk, got the lucky number...caught the panel's eye...made the panel smile all the way through the interview,... Auntie no nid worry liaw... and then NO.9, he surely made an impression...dragged out RMK-9, obviously been prepared for the interview...why is not a bad thing. =='' Then there was the discussion...*rolls eyes...* Sigh...NO.5 started 1st, hopefully got marks for dat lo... but his BM not so sharpened la, then was asked to repeat the same idea in English, == stumbled both times... then it was other people's turn lo...not fair some of em got to do it entirely in English...NO.6 n NO.2... >.> NO.8 made the panel smile in admiration when it was his turn, I saw it...I was in the middle u see...and then it went on...but I tink some of the points were out of topic, well, not entirely...but the panel did check the paper for the question again when NO.2 was presenting her idea. NO.3 did not make any opinion during the group discussion...bad... NO.5 tried to score some marks at the end, after NO.8 made the kesimpulan, but the panel did not write anything down for that matter...== *sigh...as of now...laying in wait, waiting for Mid May, when the results come out..., when Form 6 starts...
Mighty Nervous

Haihz...it has come to this yet again...witihin 1 month getting 3 times of times like this. I do not remember school being sooo... *shrug shrug* Gotta shake it off...~ shake it off...~

Going to it soon...hope i don get lost...Hope I don mess up...
