AMERICAN IDOL TOP 7

This week is Mariah Carey week, been listening to her since like forever, lol, childhood, teenage and now, my forever, hehe. She's actually a good mentor because unlike the other mentors on AI, she actually gives advice, and not just saying things like ''that was good'' and ''great'' while smiling. Salute to the superstar, lol.

Quick rundowns, show started with Ryan saying some leftover shock from Michael's departure last week, performance started with David Archuleta, again with the song choice themed ''motivation'', it gets boring after a while, for me, would like very much for him to sing something more personal/ eye-opening. No matter how good they say he is, he still can't make me go ''wow'' P . Second up was Carly Smithson, Mariah really liked her... Carly, again with the emotional roller coaster she gave me, dunno why, her singing? Her song choice of the heavily ballad? Syesha...she really gave it a go with those ''almost amazing'' high high notes @@, never heard of the song though... Brooke was up next, the whole world knows now that she missed her sister wedding to coach with Mariah Carey (rolls eyes), she sang ''Hero'' , love that song, not so much about the performance because it was pretty obvious that she was shaking/trembling =( , its good in a way because she did not hide what she felt? Not sure about that though... Kristy Lee Cook, hmm...din like it, only the last few seconds of the song. Next was David Cook! He did something totally different with a really pop Pop song, which was one of the songs by Mariah that I could recall easily from my childhood, ''Always Be My Baby'' He's good... lol. So happy I said his name in my JPA interview, LOL. Jason Castro ended the show, with a sii-beh soothing, calming performance. He's good too, but its very hard to get a ''wow'' factor from him.

Simon said the guys won the night, no surprise there...
